Le Domaine
Concerned about the social and environmental challenges in which we live, the Domaine de Chantegrive tends towards production that respects its employees and the environment. For 2017 years, the Estate has no longer used any synthetic product and also minimizes the use of herbicides.
Technological evolution comes in support of men and thus allows a production respecting the physical and moral integrity of our collaborators. Mechanization offers a greater diversity of work and allows for more rigorous work. The Estate has also embarked on the diversification of plantations in order to offer a better ecosystem to our vines.
The Team
The team is made up of Alain and Thérèse who have managed the Estate since 1993 as well as Victor who has worked at the Estate since 1989; he is Alain’s right-hand man. De Jaroslav, the driver, has been a wine worker for over 10 years,
as well as José and Sélim who are our versatile wine-growing employees. Since July 2019 Julien, the eldest son of the family, has joined the team as head of marketing and export.
Die Domaine möchte auch Laurence Keller für ihre wertvolle Unterstützung danken.
Nos productions de vins
The Domaine de Chantegrive cultivates 13 different grape varieties in Vaud AOC between the communes of Aubonne and Gilly. The great diversity of our terroir offers the possibility to grow many grape varieties, so the Estate offers 19 wines in 3 different collections.
The “Expression des Terroirs” collection is composed of 3 Chasselas Grand Cru and a Coteau de Vincy 1er Grand Cru. This collection expresses wonderfully the richness of our AOC, La Cфte. The chasselas is a true terroir sponge, therefore each Chasselas of the collection have its own characteristics.
The wines of the “Alain Rolaz signature” collection are wines that can be opened easily for all occasions or simply for the pleasure of sharing a good meal. These wines mix tradition and modernity reflecting the life of the Domaine and that of Alain through regularly awarded wines, such as the “Soprano” Pinot Noir old vine.
Since the early 2000s, the “Crescendo” collection has become the Domaine’s reference. Its high-quality oak barrel wines, which have been produced in a very rigorous manner, have won awards several times to the point of attracting the interest of consumers all over the world. These wines with great aging potential are the pride of Alain.
